Salam to all my dear ALIMKids Family,

Happy New Year 2011!

It has been quite awhile since my last entry on the blog and so many things have happened since.

The most significant update is that.. We have moved to a new place - MOM & ROO's PLAYHOUSE at Cova Square, Kota Damansara. With effect from 8 Jan 2011 all playgroups previously conducted at my home-based centre in Taman Tun will be shifted to Kota Damansara.

Full address of the New Centre is :
NW-03-02, Cova Square, Jalan Teknologi, PJU 5, Kota Damansara, 47801 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. (Opposite Segi College & Sri KDU)


New intake for Module 1 (Batch 4)
First lesson has commenced on 8 Jan 2011 at 11.15am.
Registration is still ongoing as we have a few more spots available for those who are interested.

* FYI, there are 8 lessons for each module.

(recommended for children age 3 and 4)
For those who just gotten to know about us, and your child is of age 3 or 4, we also have ongoing Modules which you may wish to enrol your child i.e

Module 3 : Shapes & Colours (12.30pm); and

Module 5: Food, Fruits and Vegetables. (10.00 am)

ALIMKids Playgroup Outing
On 18 December 2010, we had our Playgroup Outing at Jungle Gym, Bangsar Shopping Centre in conjunction with ALIMKids Playgroup Taman Tun Graduation Party. Most of the ALIMKids Family (and friends) came to celebrate and have fun.

We also had a couple of guests who came.. En Zul from Islamkids, who shared with us about the Baby Khalifah Learning Series and Pn Noorshin Ng Abdullah, who shared with the mothers who came about her book "The Beauty of Covering Up".

After half day of playing at the play area, catching up with other parents and guests and enjoying the good food catered by Howzat's Creations and those brought over by the mothers.. all of us bid our farewells, promised to keep in touch and hoped to meet up again for the next Module.

I'm taking this opportunity to thank all the ALIMKids Family for their continuous support and I pray for our beautiful friendships to last forever. For those who wish to be part of our ALIMKids Family, you are most welcome.

Salam Lebaran & Welcome Back!

Salam Lebaran to all my wonderful ALIMKids Family! I hope u had a great Eid celebration.

Since October is approaching, I am welcoming all of you again to our new Modules at ALIMKids Playgroup Taman Tun as follows:

Batch 1 : Module 6 (Animal Kingdom) ~ Session starts at 11.15 am
Batch 2: Module 4 (Our World of Wonders) ~ Session starts at 10.00 am
Batch 3: Module 2 (I can.. - About My Senses) ~ Session starts at 12.30 pm

The above Modules will start on Saturday, 2/10/2010.

NEW REGISTRATION:

If anyone else would like to join the Playgroup, I have a few spots available in Module 4 and 6. Don't worry about the Modules - whether u join at the very begining (Module 1) or in the Middle (Module 3) or even at the End (Module 6), it will still benefit your child. Ours is actually a theme-based Playgroup, so if you want your child to experience the lessons in relation to a particular theme, you are welcome to join us.

New Intake Registration (MODULE 1 ~ BATCH No. 3)

Salaam to all the wonderful parents,

I am so grateful to have received many queries regarding our ALIMKids Playgroup in TTDI. And most have shown interest in our playgroup sessions. Alhamdulillah.

Due to the overwhelming support from all of you, I am pleased to announce that the REGISTRATION for the NEW INTAKE for MODULE 1 (BATCH NO. 3) @ ALIMKids Taman Tun is now officially OPEN.

So far we have 4 spots filled up, leaving 6 more available.
SO HURRY! If you are interested in enrolling your child for the Playgroup, just call/sms me or email me.

We target to kick off the first lesson for Module 1 ~ Batch No. 3 with the theme "MYSELF" hopefully by 3rd JULY 2010.

Trial session is also available on 19th June and 26th June.
Please call to book a spot for your child to experience what our playgroup is all about.

Since my flight was affected by the Volcanic Ash Clouds from the Iceland a couple of weeks ago, below is the latest updates on the class schedule:-

Please be informed that there will be NO Playgroup on 8/5/2010, 15/5/2010 and 22/5/2010.

Our Playgroup will resume as usual on 29/5/2010.

Dr Norizan Rajak is the director and consultant of Urbane Ethos Consultancy. Her area of expertise is language and learning development of children and disorders. Currently, she runs her center for special needs children and children with learning disabilities. Her passion is to have early intervention accessible to all infants and children. She was a researcher and lecturer at ITM and USM for several years and worked in the USA for 5 years developing and administering programs for under privileged children and adolescents.

Welcome Year 2010 / 1431 Hijrah

Salaam to all my dearest ALIM Kids Families!

Year 2009 has been a very fun, exciting and interesting year for me as a part time teacher! Thanks to all my lovely little children at our weekly ALIM Kids playgroup which kicked off in February 2009.

2009 has taught me that it was not an easy task to juggle between hats - being a wife, a mom of two, being a person having a full time job as a lawyer with a passion for teaching young children! Phew, it sure wasn't a breeze for me.. but Alhamdulillah, I managed to survive till end of the year!

Truthfully, there were times when I was wide awake in the wee hours preparing for my playgroup materials that I thought to myself.. "What have I gotten myself into?!!" But the inner voice of "Teacher Fatin" (the title I'm still getting used to..) keep on reminding me that this is the most noble profession there is out there.. Imagine the smile on those cute faces everytime they learned something at the playgroup ~ be it a simple song.. a simple dance move.. a simple art creation they come up with! Masya Allah.. at the end of the day.. it was so WORTH IT!

Through my experience with the children so far.. I have come to realize what my lecturers have taught me.. "Our children will guide us on what they need to know or learn and when they are ready for it.." There can be so much of learning experiences that you wish to offer your child... but if they are not ready, the learning outcome will not be achieved! And worst.. both the parent and child will become stressed and frustrated!

Please.. let them be CHILDREN! As Froebel would say.. "The children's job is TO PLAY!" There are so many things they can learn through PLAY... and the most important for the children is not the learning outcome but the learning process...

On that note.. I welcome the year 2010/1431 Hijrah with an open mind and open heart... ready to embrace the learning experience and the learning process that Allah has planned for me this year... alongside with all my beloved ALIM Kids Families.

Insya Allah, year 2010 will be a greater year for all of us!

We are pleased to inform you that ALIMKids Playgroup Centres will be having a Performance cum Mother’s Day Celebration on:
Day & Date : Saturday, 30th May 2009Time : 2:30pm – 5:00pmVenue : Kompleks 3C MPSJ, Jalan PSJ 11/2, Taman Bandar Sunway, 46150 Subang Jaya, Selangor.


Children who are currently attending our playgroup will be doing the performances.

ALIMKids Taman Tun; (this is us!)
ALIMKids Seri Kembangan;
ALIMKids Wangsa Maju; and

We are expecting a total of 200 attendees, including the parents and children. We are looking for sponsors for our Goody Bag and also "Mother's Day" Gift Pack.

TRIAL SESSION on 21/3/2009

Salaam to all..

Ever since we started our first session on 28/2/2009, we have been receiving a number of calls enquiring about our playgroup. We would like to express our appreciation to all of you who have always given us the support! Syukran, alhamdulillah..

We wish to highlight to all that our 11.30 am - 12.30 pm session is now officially CLOSED for new enrollment. However, our 10.00 am -11.00 am session has yet to commenced and is still open for registration.

There will be a TRIAL SESSION scheduled this Saturday (21/3/2009) at 10.00 am for those who are interested to join our playgroup. Upon receiving new enrollment thereafter, we shall commence our 10.00am-11.00 am session for Module 1.

Welcome to ALIMKids Playgroup in Taman Tun Dr Ismail

Salaam and welcome to ALIM Kids Playgroup in TTDI!

We operate as a home based centre at No. 10, Jalan Datuk Sulaiman 3,Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur.

Currently we are offering two sessions: 10:00am - 11:00am and 11:30am- 12:30pm.

Since we are a newly opened centre, we are running module 1 on both sessions. We have officially started our first class on 28 Feb 2009 and there are still a few more places available.
